Chapter 1
Vampires

Rock music blared in the back ground of my house. My moms most likely. I sat up in bed and looked at the alarm clock,  it flashed  10:00 I yawned and stretched in bed. I never really needed a clock due to the fact I was always woken up at the same time with rock music from the radio. I stood up and  looked at myself in the mirror nothing had changed since my seventeenth birthday witch was  a week ago, I was still the same amy , with my black hair with red streaks in it, down to my clothing which was always black. I quickly dressed and  went back to the mirror,  I brushed my hair and put my black eyeliner on. Then stood back. And looked at the scar on my neck, two puncture wounds, I didn't know where they came from, or who did it, but I had them. I covered them with my long hair that went to the middle of my back and looked around my messy room for my side backpack. When I found it I looked around for the school books that went in side it. I was so unorganized , but fro some odd reason I was a B average student.
When I found every thing I went down stairs , my mom looked at me from the sink and put the dishes in the dish washer.
'off to school?' she asked  turning the dishwasher on.  I nodded and grabbed a piece of toast. 'you don't have to go today if you dont want to' she said leaning against the counter. I looked up thinking, she always gave me a choice to go or stay home, she said she didnt want to be the controlling parent. I looked back at her and smiled.
Alex and Camren are going to show me some new skateboarding tricks.I said  happily. My mom smiled.
right you told me about that...' she said tapping her chin.  i Took a bit of the toast and moved the strap of my back pack.
do you want me to pick you and your friends up later?'she asked looking back at me.  I shook my head.
'naw its okay, I know you want to finish that art project. i said walking to the door. My mom smiled. I walked out side and looked at  my watch. It flashed 10:30. I smiled just enough time for me to learn the new tricks and get to class that started at 12:00.  I walked on the sidewalk. The streets were empty and it was quiet. I looked down as I walked then up a the sky, it was a perfect blue, it was rare to get a true blue sky I thought.
I arrived at school  and saw Camren and Alex. They had been my best friends since we were in elementary school, Camren was blond and his hair to his ears and very tall and lanky, and Alex ; who was like a brother to me. Had brown hair and was slightly shorter than Camren but still  taller than me I was   5'6''. I walked over to them and set my back pack down.
''hey , Amy.'' Camren said smiling and put his board down.  I smiled  and took his board from him and he fell to the ground. I laughed and so did Alex. Camren rubbed his head and glared at me.
'you were asking for it.' I said putting my foot on the board and  crossing my arms across my chest. He stood up and punched Alex in the arm, Alex glared at him and  took the board back.  I sighed unhappily and looked down
'here.' he said handing it back to me. I stood on the board and did a trick and looked back at the board. I wince and quickly put my hand on my neck, I fell off the board and landed on my knees on the ground. When I pulled my hand away my neck was bleeding, Camren grabbed my hand and looked at it.
'weird.' he said  and moved my hair out of the way and looked at my neck.
'when did you get these puncture marks?' he asked Alex leaned in to see what he was talking about. I looked down the pain was becoming unbearable.
'a bout a few weeks ago' I said trying to hold back tears, I didn't like to cry, He stood me up. And looked at Alex
‘it’s from a different vampire...’ he said quietly, Alex nodded
‘yeah not from us.’ he said looking back t the bite on my neck. I knew they were vampires. And I knew they wouldn’t hurt me, mostly because Camren didn’t want me to be one. I became dizzy and closed my eyes, he held me up gently and lifted up my chin  and looked at my neck.
‘there deep.’ he said grabbing a rag from his backpack and wiping my hand and neck. I looked at Camren.
‘are you going to be okay?’ I asked looking at him. He nodded
‘I told you the blood doesn’t bother me.’ he said smiling softly. I smiled back still very dizzy. Alex looked at me then him.
’we should get her to a hospital, she’s losing a lot of blood.’’ he said looking a back at  Camren. Camren shook his head. ’no! to bring her to a hospital could expos us as vampire.’ he said annoyed. Alex glared at him
‘you rather she died, just became your worried about a stupid secret?’ he asked almost hissing at him. Camren glared at him his eyes turning a dark red.
‘we’ll take her to my place , and I’ll…’’he looked down, his eyes still dark but slowly turning his regular blue. ‘turn her.’ he said sadly. I looked up at him. He didn’t looked up I know he hated the thought but he wanted to save me.
‘the vampire who bit her must of died became she is bleeding so much.’  Camren  said .  Alex nodded and looked down. I looked a them confused.
‘what does that mean?’ I asked  confused, Camren looked back at me.
‘when a vampire dies the person he bit dies too, it’s because of the venom they inject into the human, but it can be taken out if another vampire’s bite.’ he said, quietly. Alex looked at my watch and then around
‘then we should be going’  he said  ‘it’s almost 12:00’ he looked up and around a and grabbed my stuff and Camren picked me up and quickly disappeared.
